Fitness and Body composition assessments:

 

 

Caroline, who regularly participates in the exercise classes is having her body composition (fat/muscle ratio) assessed.

She was pleased with the results.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Jo, a keen

 mountain biker   

 and a regular in

 the exercise

 classes is having  

 a fitness 

 assessment

 before taking up a

 new exercise

 programme to

 improve her biking

 performance and  general fitness.

 

Jo also had a composition analysis so the effects of the new programme on her muscle and fat can be assessed later. It is expected that Jo will increase muscle and decrease fat as well as improving her cycling and fitness.

 

        

Craig below, a regular in the exercises classes joined last years beginners running classes having never run before. Since then he has entered several 10k runs and always beats his previous time.

 

  

 In the last few weeks of 

 preparation for the great 

 north run, Craig, wired to a

 heart monitor is having a

 fitness test to assess the

 effects of a new

 programme which is

 expected to increase his  

 running speed. 

 

 

 

By measuring his heart rate at a set running speed, cardiovascular improvements as well as speed improvements can be measured.

Like many others Craig uses the exercise classes regularly to develope his heart fitness and his muscular strength and endurance.
